Life Coaching

Just as a professional sportsman or woman uses a sports coach to motivate, encourage and support their quest for achieving outstanding results in their chosen field, so does a Life Coach empower you to take control of your life and work with you to achieve your future goals and aspirations, whatever they might be.

Life Coaching is not therapy or counselling nor does it look to the past for guidance. A good life coach will not offer advice or make judgements about you.

Life Coaching helps you focus on whether you are living the life you want and, if not, how to make changes in small manageable steps to reach the outcomes you desire.

Career Coaching

The chances are that if you are reading this, you want more fulfilment from your work.

Whether you are considering doing something totally different as a job or career, want to set up your own business from scratch or discover ways to improve your current situation, there are practical steps you can take to achieve satisfaction in the workplace.

Consider the following: ‘if all jobs paid £5 an hour, what job would you want to do?’.

Work takes up such a big proportion of one’s life that it seems perfectly reasonable to expect to find the work you choose to do enjoyable challenging and satisfying.

However, maybe you have become increasingly disillusioned or possibly stressed on a daily basis.

Perhaps you dread going into work on Monday and spend all week looking forward to the weekend?

Maybe you want to set up your own business or change what you do for a living but have no idea how or where to begin?

If you have been wary of making changes, due to fear of the unknown, Smallsteps Coaching offers you a practical approach to discover what is right for you. Just as our wants and needs change in our personal lives as we get older, so do our expectations of work also change with time.

Individually tailor-made sessions can include any or all of the following:

  • CV and interview preparation
  • Investigating your transferable skills and why you work
  • Looking at work-based values
  • Setting realistic goals to ‘make things happen’
  • Investigating suitable job/career choices
  • Confidence building
  • Achieving an acceptable work/life balance
  • Challenging workplace bullying

Pavlenka’s recently published book: ‘From Dream To Reality—7 steps to setting up a small business’ forms the basis of a start-up business package, designed to lead you through the whole process of setting up a business for the first time with step-by-step activities and case studies .
